If it is something that would be a useful resource you can always buy a copy for yourself,
Bookstores generally have an entire section devoted to hobbies and do it yourself projects. The books are generally well illustrated and most bookstores allow you to sit in easy chairs and look over the merchandise to see if it is something you wish to purchase. Hardware stores are also a great place to find woodworking books. They usually carry how-to guides that range from basic skills to advanced techniques for craftsmen.
There are other great sources of woodworking information other than books.
